Lithuanian proverbs delightful and enlightening!

I am not going to pretend to be the expert or scholar regarding Lithuanian proverbs and sayings(even though I am 1/2 Lithuanian.) But one thing I can tell you is I am a HUGE fan! That has to count for something, right?

Below you will find a few of the ones I like the most, and links to some other sites for your enjoyment.

Don't forget to take a peak at our Proverb Greeting Cards featuring the first Lithuanian proverb card series. Lithuanian proverbs with English translations. They're GREAT!

A Bit of Baltic Wit & Wisdom...

Beauty will not fill your belly.

Sing to the one whose cart you are riding on.

One main road is better than a hundred paths.

A home so small it fits under a blade of grass, is still a home.

The happy do not count the hours.

Live life without rushing; death won't be late.
